Zelmira Silva is an Economist and Consultant with experience in market and investment research, investor relations and communications, private and public share offerings, as well as public policy and advisory. She has worked with InspIR Group since 2019 developing pre and post IPO Investor Relations communications and strategy, with a focus on sustainability, for Latin American companies. These include companies in fintech, traditional financial, oil and gas, educational services as well as other sectors.

Ms. Silva has worked as independent consultant since 2003 providing strategic and policy advisory to top Argentine and international firms and organizations in financial services, media, telecoms, OEM, textile, oil and gas, among other industries. She also has conducted industry competitiveness analysis for the World Bank and equity analysis for investment firms including major upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas companies in Argentina. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Ms. Silva was Managing Director at CoInvest, an Argentine investment fund specializing in distressed and debt restructuring situations. She joined CoInvest subsequent to her role as Chief Advisor to the Argentine Secretary of Industry, Commerce and Mining and to the Secretary of Energy and Mining between February 2000 and December 2001. During this time, she was also Head of the Argentine Government’s Investment Promotion Agency, advising local and foreign investors on incentives and conditions for investing in Argentina.

Ms. Silva was Head of Research & Information at McKinsey & Co. for the Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile offices from 1996 to 1999, advising consultant teams on strategy, operations and organizational issues. The Department was also responsible for providing best practice examples and research to enable optimal client recommendations. Prior experience includes Senior Economist at ALPHA Estudio de Economía y Negocios S.A., an Argentine consulting firm where she advised large conglomerates participating in Argentina’s 1991 to 1993 privatization process. Ms. Silva also advised major investment banks and equity funds on the valuation of companies with sales exceeding US$ 100 million including YPF, Disco, Canale, Peñaflor, Colorín and others.

Ms. Silva holds a BA in Economics from Universidad Católica Argentina and a Summa Cum Laude Executive MBA from IAE, Universidad Austral. She has taught corporate finance at the Universidad Católica’s School of Business Administration and Introduction to Finance and Economics at the Universidad de Buenos Aires School of Law.
