Carlos Eduardo Rocha (Duda)

Duda is the Founding Partner, Head and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Occam Brasil, an independent asset management firm born from the spin-off of Brasil Plural Gestão de Recursos, where he was Managing Partner and CIO up to 2010. Duda garners more than 25 years of experience in the equities space, starting his career in Banco Pactual, with mandates in the sales distribution, equity research, risk, custody and trading divisions. He served as portfolio manager of UBS Pactual’s asset management division up to 2009. Duda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from PUC-RJ and a graduate degree in Capital Markets from IBMEC-RJ.

Pablo Ricalde

Pablo Ricalde joined PAAMCO (Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company), an institutional investment firm focused on hedge funds, where he has served as a Portfolio Manager and Analyst covering the consumer, oil and gas and cement sectors since 2019. Prior to joining PAAMCO, Mr. Ricalde was a sell side analyst at Credit Suisse and Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofAML) for more than six years covering Latin American Cement and Construction, and Oil & Gas issuers. In this role, he was involved with the Loma Negra IPO and IEnova FO, among others. Mr. Ricalde earned a BA in Actuarial Sciences and Public Accounting, both from The Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) in Mexico City, and has passed the CFA Level 2. Mr. Ricalde is currently a part-time finance instructor at ITAM.

Thomas Pinto Basto

Mr. Pinto Basto joined Westwood in 2012 and serves as a Vice President, Portfolio Manager where he is currently the co-lead of the Emerging Markets and Emerging Markets Plus strategies. Prior to joining Westwood, Mr. Pinto Basto was with AGF Investments Inc. where he was co-manager of the Global Dividend mandate and served on the Global Equity and Emerging Markets team for over six years. Prior to 2005, he was a corporate strategy consultant with Deloitte Consulting in Canada and Hong Kong, following his role as a Global Analyst for both fixed income and equities with Altamira Management. Mr. Pinto Basto earned a BA in Economics from Carleton University and has been a CFA Charter holder since 2002. He is currently a member of the CFA Institute.

Vicente Rodriguez, CFA

Mr. Rodriguez is Head of Research in the Chile office and joined Compass Group in 2016. He is also responsible for covering the financials and commodities sectors in Chile, as well as developing internal ESG integration strategy. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Equity Senior Analyst at LarrainVial focused on covering Natural Resources in Chile, Peru and Colombia. Additionally, he has worked as a Corporate Finance Analyst at Arauco, the forestry division of Empresas Copec. Mr. Rodriguez has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Administration from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. He is a CFA Charterholder since 2018.

Priscila Nannetti

Senior Director – InspIR Group

The webinar will be moderated by Priscila Nannetti, a Senior Director at InspIR Group, co-head of the Investor Access Practice and head of our Business Intelligence team. Priscila was Vice President of the Latin American corporate access desk at Goldman Sachs, leading the origination of services for top-tiered institutional investors from across Latin America, US, Canada, Europe and Asia. Prior to Goldman, Priscila was Head of Corporate Access & Equity Research Editorial at Brasil Plural, Safra and UBS Pactual investment banks. She has participated in multiple IPOs and NDRs and designed flagship conferences, thematic gatherings and field trips across Latin America.
